African Religion

Original Text: African Religion

Grant: I hope you are getting excited in this course as I am too. For sometime now I haven’t realized that some of these passages are actually mission oriented until now. There have been some questions in my mind as to how did God actually reach out his people or his method of reaching to the Children of Israel was direct and rigorous. I hope the excitement in discovering something new about God will enrich us to the extend that we will get to know that he first loves us and his desire to save us complies him to reach out for us. Like your Old Testament passage, who would have thought that God’s desire to reach out to people or his mission to out to his people begin the Genesis. My thoughts and focuses have always been in the New Testament.

Enjoy your weekend Grant, look forward to learning together this term.

Rejoice: First of, where are you from? Your name sounds like someone from east Africa. I attended at African Bible College in Malawi, east Africa.
Are you amazed to discover how much God loves us and did everything impossible to reach his creation? The New Testament really layout the basic ground work of mission to me than the Old Testament. I am saying this because the entire work of Christ was center on mission, crossing from one town to the next, rivers etc. Before when I think of mission oriented story in the Old Testament is the exodus story, sending Moses to speak to the children of Israel and instrumentally delivering his people. It did not also occur to me that prophets were missionary for God. I am so excited to discover more things in this course and I hope you are too.

Have a blessed weekend,
