Thank you for submitting a revision of your previously reviewed manuscript. The revisions have indeed resolved the concerns as stated by the two reviewers and thus, have substantially strengthened the manuscript. Two minor issues remain however to be clarified. The first on relates to the description of the number of animals that have been submitted to a coronary ligation and their survival. The animal numbers as stated in the first six lines of the second paragraph on page twelve are confusing and don’t match up. Accordingly, please clarify. The second concern relates to the description of the site of increased RGD uptake at the beginning of paragraph two on page 13. Please describe more clearly the site of the increased RGD uptake relative to the perfusion defect. Was this increase in the border region of the perfusion defect? Please clarify.
The editors look forward to receiving a further revised version of your manuscript at your earliest convenience.
