Grammar Question.

by Emma
(Cheongju. South Korea)

I want to say to my friend that my other friend just rang me and said "come out" to me. Is it okay to say ...

"my friend just called me to come out"

?

Editor:

If the object of the sentence is "...to come out." a verb just before, like telling or asking may make the sentence a little more understandable.

"My friend just called, asking me to come out."
