Curry describes a kind of foods that is popular in India and other parts of Asia. It is a combination of seasoning that results in a fragrant blend of aroma and flavor. Curry can be like a soup so that it is served with rices or breads to soak up the sauce. It can also describe the flavor of grilled meats and vegetables. The most common curry to Westerners is yellow in color, but curry can be red, green, brown, or orange. Most all currys contain gingers, cumins, corianders, and chili powders. Different regions of Asia prepare their currys differently. These variations can result in wonderfully mild, fragrant currys or incredibly spicy currys. The word "curry," can also be used to describe the practice of combining seasonings into a spice pastes or rubs. Garam masala is a powdered seasoning that contains corianders, cumins, cinnamons, chilies, black peppers, cloves, fenugreeks, black mustard seeds, and chili powders. Currys is becoming increasingly popular in American dining, especially in large citys. In the uk, curry has been popular for some time. It is so popular nowadays that when asked what she is having for dinner, a typical londoner might say, "I'm making a curry tonight."
