My Favorite Meal

by Debby
(Parkersburg)

Original Text: My Favorite Meal

I need to have this proofread and help with making sure I italicized pronouns properly and used at least one compound sentence and one complex sentence.

Editor:
Your sentences look good, but I'm sorry that I cannot help with the italicized pronouns. Word processor formatting often doesn't survive the translation to the internet html format.

My edit of your text is below.

My favorite food dish is stuffed manicotti shells. My sister gave me a recipe to make
these stuffed shells. My thought at first was that they sounded good, but I was not sure I could
make them as well as she had. I called my sister to confirm the ingredients and realized the
items I had bought were not exactly the same as what she used. The item she used in her stuffed
shells were homemade sauce and I purchased a store brand sauce. My sister told me the kind of
sauce I bought would be okay, so I went ahead and made them with what I had. When my
family and I were eating the stuffed shells I had prepared, my youngest son Erick said they were
delicious, and my older son said he thought homemade sauce would have made them better.
The solution in preparing this dish a second time was challenging, but I took my youngest son’s
advice and used homemade sauce. We all enjoyed the stuffed shells and my family often requests
them.
