Brenda informs her employees of all activities that could affect the team’s workload. She disseminates information from the Minister and Commissioner’s office to ensure that all the files are done according to the set parameters. Through the webcims system for tracking and registering correspondence, Brenda provides her team with instructions for files assigned to them. This system generates reports that include all information required by the employees so that they can manager their workload and meet the turnaround time established. Brenda informs her employees of new administrative procedures during the execution and processing of files.

Brenda holds bi-weekly meetings with her team. To promote the learning of both official languages and respect the linguistic differences, the meetings are held in a bilingual format. During these meetings, Brenda keeps her employees informed of activities that could affect the workload of the team, their present priorities and discusses with them the procedural changes related correspondence. She also works with them to find new procedures to meet deadlines. She takes her employee’s input and expertise to make decisions on procedural changes. She ensures that a consensus on the procedures is met by the majority of her team before implementing the new procedures. Brenda also acknowledges positive feedback on her employee’s contribution to demonstrate this last year Brenda nominated 3 of her employees for recognition awards of excellence
