Friends are a very important part of life. Friends are there to comfort, to laugh and to make memories with. If I did not have my friends, I would not make it through the day. I always have a friend around, but sometimes some people are more of a friend than others. There are best friends, good friends and acquaintances in everyone’s life.
Best friends are very hard to find. I only have one best friend. There are many qualities a best friend must have. My best friend is always there for me. I can call him at three o’clock in the morning and he will wake up to talk to me. My best friend is also a great listener. If I ask my best friend for advice, he will give it to me, but there are some times that I just want him to listen. I can open up to my best friend and tell him anything. Also, my best friend is always there to comfort me. If I am ever upset, he always finds a way to make things better. My best friend and I always have fun and laugh when were together. Best friends truly are the best kind of friends.
Good friends are great to have also. I have a lot of good friends. My good friends are usually there for me when I need them also. They are fun to be around and they make me laugh. I do not share all of my secrets with my good friends. I tell them a lot of things, but not everything. I do not feel as comfortable with my good friends, as I do my best friend. Also, I do not hang out with my good friends near as much as I do my best friend. I hang out with my good friends every weekend, or maybe even less than that sometimes. Good friends are a great thing to have.
Acquaintances could be many different things. Acquaintances could be anything from a classmate to a sports team friend. I have a lot of classmates and friends on my cheerleading team that I would call acquaintances. Acquaintances are my friends that I talk to but, I never really hang out with them. My acquaintances are people that I am around that we have to be nice to each other. I do like these people; we just never have the urge to hang out.
Friends are a necessity in life. For those of us going on to college soon, we will have to make new friends. That will be hard but, I made friends in the first place. I think I can do it again. One thing that will make it hard is choosing my friends. I will choose my friends carefully because, I know that not only do your actions say a lot about you, but your friends also say a lot about you.
