Patriotism

Original Text: Patriotism

Why wouldn’t it! Of course, patriotism still matters. Without patriotism our country would unravel like a ball of yarn. Our country would fall to pieces like a puzzle. It means that our soldiers have love and honor to fight for us and we appreciate it so much. It allows our country to have freedom and independence. Patriotism is what glues our country together as a family.
Love is why our soldiers go and fight for our country. Without love for our citizens the United States would have unkind and uncompassionate citizens. Without love, our United State citizens would make our days miserable and everybody would live life of no meaning. Our soldiers are showing love to this country by devoting their time and lives to keep the United States safe from harm and attacks. This means they care for us more than they care for themselves. The soldiers love us so much that they have marine corp. codes. Which are honor, courage, and commitment.
Honor has many different definitions. If you have integrity not to steal, cheat or be dishonest, then you have honor. If our country didn’t have honor, people would be stealing and talking behind our backs. Most United States citizens know that to be a successful country as we are today, we must have pride and honor to do what is right. If you have honor, you’re responsible for your actions and you accept your consequences. Our soldiers have honor for us because they have braveness to put their lives on the line. I think honor is best described as a quote from George Bernard Shaw “You cannot believe in honor until you’ve achieved it, better keep yourself clean and bright, you are the window through which you must see the world”.
Freedom is what allows our country to do what they need without interference from other countries. Unlike other communist countries, the United States isn’t ruled by kings who tell you what to do and what job you have to have. Although the United States is run by the government, we don’t tolerate being treated unfairly like communist countries. The United States has freedom from being externally restrained from other countries. Freedom is what gives us the right to control our own actions without being held back. Freedom is what allows our citizens of the United States the right to vote. Economic freedom gives the United States the opportunity to internationally trade.
Yes, of course patriotism still matters. Without patriotism our country would be harmed very often. Without our country having love, all of the United States would be miserable. If the citizens of the United States didn’t have honor, our possessions would get stolen. Since the United States has freedom, it allows us to stay safe against interference from other countries. Keep all of these things in mind the next time you do something that these freedoms allow you to do. Patriotism is what unites the United States as a family.
