Arrested Development

Arrested Development is about the Bluth family who owns a large housing corporation. With actors such as Will Arnett, Michael Cera, and Portia de Rossi the show is surly not going to disappoint and right from the beginning I was hooked. As they introduced each character I could not stop laughing. Everything from the awkwardness of some characters to the openness of the others, the descriptions of each one of them, and the nicknames they give each other made me want more. Although the show only ran for three seasons and did not pull the rankings it needed to stay on air, everyone that watches is quickly drawn in.
The show starts with a party on the Bluth yacht for George Bluth Sr.?s (Jeffrey Tambor) retirement, but quickly the mood changes from peaceful to chaotic as the police show up to arrest Mr. Bluth for building unsafe houses. From there the family is put up against obstacles that they must overcome and the way they do is not always conventional, but always funny. The first is getting Mr. Bluth settled in jail and getting Lucille (Jessica Walter) to stop spending money. We soon see son Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) step into the leader role. He is never far without his son George-Michael (Michael Cera), who has a crush on his cousin Maeby (Alia Shawkat).
In one memorable episode Michael, George-Michael, and Ann ?Egg? Veal, George-Michael?s girlfriend, go to Mexico because they hear that George has escaped. They stop at a church and end up leaving Ann in Mexico. In another episode the family is trying to cure Tobias Fünke (David Cross) from an unknown disease. They can?t think of any names so they end up calling it T.B.A. The show never seemed to disappoint with fake deaths, uncle-fathering, adopting a son, and Byron "Buster" Bluth (Tony Hale) joining the army.
Each character grows on you and you start catching yourself speaking and acting like them. For me I started to say ?Hey bother? and saying things only Tobias would say. Not only that, but I have seen the way my brother acts. He started picking up Gob?s (Will Arnett) aneurisms and acting like Buster. Clearly Arrested Development is in a class of its own making anyone laugh, pick up aneurisms from the characters, and quoting the show whenever possible.
Arrested Development had a wonderful three seasons that ended with the family buying a new yacht in celebration of the family?s success. They soon find out that the sailing is still not smooth. Even though it ended it will always live on the ?cult? that it created during its run. Arrested development will always be missed, but knowing that so many people love it is always nice.

Arrested Development is about the Bluth family, who owns a large housing corporation. With actors such as Will Arnett, Michael Cera, and Portia de Rossi, the show is surly not going to disappoint and right from the beginning I was hooked. As they introduced each character I could not stop laughing. Everything from the awkwardness of some characters, to the openness of the others, the descriptions of each one of them, and the nicknames they give each other, made me want more.

Although the show only ran for three seasons, and did not pull the rankings it needed to stay on the air, everyone that watches is quickly drawn in.

The show starts with a party on the Bluth yacht for George Bluth Sr.'s (Jeffrey Tambor) retirement, but quickly the mood changes from peaceful to chaotic as the police show up to arrest Mr. Bluth for building unsafe houses. From there, the family is put up against obstacles that they must overcome, and the way they do is not always conventional, but always funny.

The first obstacle is getting Mr. Bluth settled in jail and getting Lucille (Jessica Walter) to stop spending money. We soon see son Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) step into the leadership role. He is never far from his son George-Michael (Michael Cera), who has a crush on his cousin Maeby (Alia Shawkat).

In one memorable episode, Michael, George-Michael, and Ann "Egg" Veal, George-Michael's girlfriend, go to Mexico because they hear that George has escaped. They stop at a church and end up leaving Ann in Mexico. In another episode the family is trying to cure Tobias Fünke (David Cross) from an unknown disease. They can't think of any name for it, so they end up calling it T.B.A.

The show never seemed to disappoint, with fake deaths, uncle-fathering, adopting a son, and Byron "Buster" Bluth (Tony Hale) joining the army.

Each character grows on you, and you start catching yourself speaking and acting like them. For me, I started to say "Hey bother" and saying things that only Tobias would say. Not only that, but I have seen the way my brother acts. He started picking up Gob's (Will Arnett) mannerisms and started acting like Buster. Clearly, Arrested Development is in a class of its own, making anyone laugh, pick up mannerisms from the characters, and quoting the show whenever possible.

Arrested Development had a wonderful three seasons that ended with the family buying a new yacht in celebration of the family?s success. They soon find out that the sailing is still not smooth. Even though it ended, it will always live on in the "cult" that it created during its' run. Arrested development will always be missed, but knowing that so many people love it is always nice.
